Hi all,

I am using the pligg version 1.0.0 RC1 and have configured the CMS on my local machine. My local mahcine has PHP, Apache and MySQL and most of the Pligg functionality works fine.

I am having trouble with getting the mailer working. If I try to send a link to my friend, it does not work. Or if I send a mail to a group, the mail does not go.

Do I have to configure any setting parameters for getting the Mailer working from my local machine. I read that for hosted applications, the system gets the Mail parameters by itself. But since I am trying to do a test run from my machine, I might need to configure the mailer server and other parameters. Where can I do the same?

It would be really great if someone can help me out as I am stuck here.

This is the error I get

Warning: mail() [function.mail]: SMTP server response: 553 We do not relay non-local mail, sorry. in C:\xampp\htdocs\mysite\libs\mailer.php on line 59

It means you do not have the php mail function on.

Got the solution from this link Relayin Problem | drupal.org

This configuration was important
Relay : 1 # Control non-local relaying

The default is set to 0 and hence the Relay was not happeining.
