Create tabs like all, content, video, images?

Is there a way of doing that, just in case users only wanted to see videos, images or content or everything?

Maybe if you used tags and made users tag items as video, image, article on each submission then make put the three links to the tag search results in the navigation area. Theres no built in feature to sort content though.
