I can't seem to be able to get into my pligg site after I changed some subdomain settings. Here is the error message I receive:

Warning: file_get_contents(./../languages/lang_english.conf) [function.file-get-contents]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/laudhcom/public_html/livelyworlds/skimaps/class.config.php on line 49
Could not open ./../languages/lang_english.conf

Here is my URL:

http://skimaps.livelyworlds.com/

or http://www.livelyworlds.com/skimaps

Thanks!

CHMOD the file and /languages directory to 777. Also make sure that all of the other CHMOD permissions are set correctly.

Internal Server Error
I set permissions on all of my Pligg site to 777 and now get this error message:

The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Please contact the server administrator, webmaster@livelyworlds.laudontech.com and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

Any ideas?

I didn't say all of the site. You're not supposed to CHMOD everything. You might need to reset everything to 644 or 666, the properly CHMOD the files outlined in the readme.html file included with Pligg.

I followed your instructions....I still can't get Pligg to work. Pligg is installed in a subfolder. I now get this error message:

Forbidden

You don't have permission to access /skimaps on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

Perhaps I need to modify my htaccess file?

M

I suggest that you copy the files to your computer and then re-upload them after removing them from the server to try to reset the CHMOD settings. I'm fairly sure this is just a CHMOD issue, where you dug yourself into a whole by setting the permissions for all the files to 777 so its best to start from scratch.

I started from scratch and now all is well. Thank you for your advice.

On another note though, I would like my Pligg site to work from both this URL:

http://www.livelyworlds.com/skimaps/

and

http://skimaps.livelyworlds.com

I get this message when I try to use the second URL:

Warning: filemtime() [function.filemtime]: stat failed for ./../languages/lang_english.conf in /home/laudhcom/public_html/livelyworlds/skimaps/internal/template.config_loader.php on line 25

And the page does not render correctly.

Thanks in advance,

M
