Hi guys,

I installed pligg 1.0 rc2. i created some catogories in Chinese. Display of the frontpage is fine. but I noticed the URL Method 2 doesn't work, giberish as below:

RewriteRule ^(all|ae%96%B0e%97%BB)/([^/]+)/?$ story.php?title=$2 [L]
RewriteRule ^(all|ae%96%B0e%97%BB)/?$ ?category=$1 [L]

I have got a complete chinese site: www.888mark.com I want to switch it to using pligg but this url rewrite problem really hesitates me.

Does anybody have the sample problem for using different language?

Seems directly using different language for pligg 1.0 doesn't work. I created some articles in Chinese the url is in mess: 唛客ä¸*文网 - 北美网å�€æ”¶è—�，生活信æ�¯åˆ†äº«å’Œç‚¹è¯„ |

Try the latest SVN version, we've made more improvements to UTF-8 characters. You can grab a recent SVN version from here. If the latest SVN version doesn't fix the problem please follow up and open up a support ticket letting us know which SVN version you are using (the zip file number).

I installed the SVN. Its better than before Now the display for chinese character in Admin panel is ok. But still there is a 50% chance for the imported rss in mess ( url is not recoganized then a 404 page not found comes up). for the time being I figured out a simple method to show article in a correct way:

Switch SEO Friendly URL's for stories and Friendly URL's for categories both to id, default is title. Maybe for its having no special characters in the URL, everything is ok. If you have got a foreign language problem you may want to try this method.

I have got a new problem, pre-made categories are becoming:

Still big problem.

If I switch url to id then all articles imported point to the same article at front page no matter what id an article is linked to. but in the admin panel all imported articles linking to correct ones inside the popup "edit window".

If I switch url back to title, everything is back to normal. but the url display is again like: åŠ*拿大囚犯用指甲刀越狱 | 51 BBS.LA - 我è¦�BBS啦! 超级论å�›æ”¶è—�夹

What I can do? please help.

Note: I upgraded to SVN 436 from rc2. Independent installation of 436 doesn't work (after installation success, no login admin page found - 404 page error!, so I had to install rc2 first and upgrade to 436)
