putting two sidebars side by side?

I'm trying to put a module side by side. but i enter the code and the next module shows up underneath the other module. I want one to the left side and one towards the right side up in the header. How would I do that?

I want to put the login that is in the side bar and the what is "name of site"(about) that is in the side together but somewhere in the header. i'm using the latest pligg
