How do you sort the date of posts from oldest to newest?

Right now, my pligg is screwed up. Some old posts from some months ago ended up on the front page. I've checked the latest posts and they are in page 3.

How do you sort the date to force newest posts on the front page?

I used search function and I found nothing.

Stories are displayed by their publish timestamp. Your site may have somehow been messed up and updated the timestamps for older stories, causing them to appear in the wrong order. The only sure-fire way to correct this is to change the status of your newer stories to Upcoming temporarily and then re-publish them one by one in order from oldest to newest. That will update their publish timestamps.

Okay, my pligg somehow got newer posts back on the front page after I was messing with index.php and decided to stick with default setting. It did do a trick. Your tip is helpful, either.

I noticed that some upcoming posts that have old timestamp ended up on the published page. In a few months ago, I removed upcoming page in order to allow any newer posts to be published on the front page after stories are approved by admin.

However, there are some upcoming stories that are still there BEFORE I removed upcoming page and menu button. When I try to clean those stories and those old posts ended up on the top of the front page. I want to merge those stories to published page but I dont want old posts to be on the top of the page. I want those old stories to be somewhere in previous page following the timestamp.

go to SQL yourprefix_user tabel, find your user and clean user_categories field from values.

unfortunatly same thing cannot be made from Profile settings from front end.
