Hi

Just a quick follow up on this.

As a temporary fix I have placed a redirect at the beginning of my htaccess file which does this;

Redirect /login/submit.php http://www.website.com/login/submit/

Its a bit of a bodge, as it simply takes the visitor to the login screen, but if they are not yet members they really need to go to the register screen. In a perfect world, they need to go to a screen which can both log people in and register them.

The other thing is that the 'pligged' url, although still present, does not autofill the form, meaning that the visitor needs to go back and do it all again.

Not perfect by any means, but at least better than a 404.

Andy

Any news for this issue?
Maybe in the next release?
it's really a shame not to give new visitors the easy chance to submit an article...

Is there any new development on this? I'd basically like to see a way to do what ShoutWire does:

Any way to make this (the button on the external site) pop open a new window? This way they can reference the article without using the back button?

If you place the EVB on a blog post that is on the front page of a blog it seems to submit the homepage URL as opposed to the Permalink (or direct URL).

Is there any work-around for this?

Would it be easy to supply the submitter with this ability
I’m thinking a webmaster submits a story which is on their own website
And the Pligg site supplies them with the HTML code to cut and paste.

Example:
Cut and paste this html to add a “pligg this” button to your website.

I am interested because this would create backlinks for the pligg site

Here is how I got it to work on my Wine site. I wrote it up in my Wiki for bloggers to use...

for the generic link, you'll need to create a graphic to replace the "pligg" graphic that the JS calls.

You'll know what I mean when you test it.
