I am using Pligg Beta 9 and I see that the stories are not moving from Submitted to Published even though they got the required number of votes. The only way I can force is to move to Published is by using the admin tools.

I saw couple of old threads where a similar porblem was reported and it was recommended that template_c contents should be deleted, I tried it and even that doesnt help.

The voting method is 1 which is digg method and I lowered the number of votes to publish from 5 to 3. Since it was submitted recently and well below the 10 day cutoff.

Any idea whats going on ?

So a story is submitted, and automatically gets 1 vote during submit. Then from the upcoming page it earns 3 or more votes and isn't being pushed to the front page within 10 days of being submitted? Not sure why it would fail to make it to the frontpage if that's the case.

Funny I have a similar issue/question in relation to how stories get promoted from upcoming to the frontpage. Is this something hardcoded in Pligg or can it be configured from the admin panel? I am thinking about launching a pligg based site and at least initially when there are only a handful of users I want stories to be automatically promoted to the front page as soon as they are submitted. As the user base grows I will however want to change the configuration so that say it requires at least 3 votes to get to the front page. Can this be done by the administrator from the control panel or is it something hardcoded in the pligg template.

No you can set votes to publish to 1 in the admin panel.
The above problem sounds like he is trying to reduce the votes needed to publish after a story had been submitted. Changing the votes to publish after a story has been submitted will not automatically go back through the upcoming stories and push those to published.

Thats exactly what I was trying to do, change the number of votes to publish after the story has been posted. So from what I understand from you, thats not going to move the story from "recently submitted to published".

Thanks so much.
