Question Lunar Pages Install - Error 500

This is the first time I've tried to install Pligg.

    Pligg Version 1.1.2
    MySQL version 5.1.48
    PHP version 5.2.14

I've gotten all the way through the install to Step 5, followed the steps in the install readme, and when I try to open the domain with /index.php I get an error 500.

    Any advice?

Error 500 is usually caused by improper file permissions.

Hmmm. I've followed steps 1-16 of the guide, including temporarily changing certain files/folders to 777. It's still not working.

I'm guessing that it could be an htaccess adjustment. Do you have any specific suggestions?

The server logs aren't showing anything.

Try re-uploading all of the files, using the new 1.1.3 release. There may have been a corrupted files during your previous upload. Usually this results in a blank white page, but I suppose the server could also spit out a 500 error from the same type of problem.

Clearly a host issue. If uploading the files again doesn't solve your problem I can only suggest contacting your host for support.
