Clicks instead of Votes (Again)

I know that there are multiple threads about this but they're all a couple years old. I've read them all and it doesn't seem like there is a great method of completing this. Basically I would like my site to count clicks instead of votes. I have visitors click links on my site but they rarely vote.

Has anyone managed to get this working on their site or know how to accomplish this?

The closest thing available right now would be the story counter module.

The story counter module will track when an individual story page has been accessed and read. The total amount of reads is displayed in the story tools section at the end of the story. Each time the story has been accessed the module will log the details of the visit and increase the number displayed.

Ah alright, not exactly what I was looking for. Hopefully someone can come up with something.

I'm also look for a views module for each link clicked. I bought the counter story module thinking that this was it. Perhaps It can be modified i will have to have a look. Ideally it would be nice to be able to sort by votes and the amount of clicks for each story.
