Unable to install Pligg

How do i rename this file in mysql server during the installation of pligg,(•../bannedips.txt.default must be renamed to ../bannedips.txt.
•../local-antispam.txt.default must be renamed to ../local-antispam.txt.)

You can rename these files before you upload them to your web server or rename them after they are uploaded, just delete the default from the end

The files mentioned have nothing to do with that error message. The error states that your database connection details are incorrect. Please read the error and make corrections to your database settings during the installation.

Ok i have renamed the files and the database name is correct but am still geting this error message ''connected to database but the database name is incorrect''

Either something weird is going on with your server, or your database settings are being incorrectly entered when installing Pligg (the more likely scenario). Double check your /libs/dbconnect.php file and see if it is entering the database details correctly after attempting to install.
