Difference between EVB and EVB code generator?
Hi - What is the essential difference between EVB and EVB code generator?
Thanks

The EVB provides the functionality for external voting and intergrating it into another cms, for example wordpress.
The EVB Code Generator produces the code on stories already submitted to a Pligg site and lets visitors copy and use the code in any 3rd party site for remote voting.

Thanks chuckroast. Few quick questions;
1. Is 'external voting' == 'remote voting'?
2. Does both the modules work for both voting method '1' and voting method '3'? What is the default voting method? Can I change the default voting method?
3. So EVB means - everytime a wordpress (or any CMS blogger) admin blogs a post on his/her blog, a voting button shows up for every post by default? Is this something similar to facebook Like and/or twitter 'tweet' buttons? something like a CMS plugin which 3rd party sites can download from site and plug-it into their CMS system?
4. What if I have disabled guest voting - will external and remote voting ask the user to login?
5. When a user votes externally or remotely - will the voter be navigated back to my pligg site? or does the voting handshake completely happen backend-to-backend method?
6. If the user is navigated to my pligg site will it have human authentication - random text recaptcha?
7. If guest voting is enabled - will it still present the random text captcha?
Thanks

1. Yes, external voting allows you to remotely vote on articles. See the Pligg Blog as an example. Take note that if your website only allows registered members to vote then users who are not logged in will be redirected to do so when trying to vote on a story from a third party site.
2. The module works fine with voting methods 1 (normal) and 3 (karma). It would only have issues with sites using voting method 2 (5 star rating). Because of the way that voting methods 1 and 3 work, there's no need to change any settings for it to change between the 2. The karma calculations used by method 3 are all performed behind the scenes by your Pligg site and not through the EVB.
3. Basically you hit the nail on the head with your first sentence. The EVB lets you embed a button to vote on stories from a site. If a story hasn't been submitted for that particular article it will show as 0 votes and when you click on it to vote it will redirect you to the second story submission page and autofill a lot of the information for you (based on how you have integrated the EVB into the third party site). The EVB comes with working template examples for Wordpress and Blogger templates. At this time there are no ready-made plugins to handle this for you, but it's pretty simple to integrate into your own templates.
4. See answer #1
5. Voting is handled remotely. They are not redirected to the Pligg site to complete the vote or view the article. The number representing the votes does link users to the article's link on the Pligg site. That way users can view the article and make comments on the Pligg site.
6 + 7. No need for a CAPTCHA for voting. Pligg only uses CAPTCHA input fields for registrations and story submissions. That can all be configured from the CAPTCHA module settings area, which is unrelated to the EVB module.
