How come I keep getting this error message when creating categories (Usually after I create a certain amount)

Warning: mysql_fetch_object(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource in /usr/www/virtual/eborg9/www.sphinit.com/libs/html1.php on line 253

Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /usr/www/virtual/eborg9/www.sphinit.com/libs/html1.php on line 261

And also this one : Is it actually telling me to remove the htacess file ?

The file ../.htaccess already exists. To protect you from accidentally removing it, you must manually remove it from your server before moving on.

When I change the name of the htaccess.default, to .htaccess the entire file disappears.

What gives, It's been 2 days, and I don't understand the conflicting messages.

1.) The htaccess file just goes in to hiding once you change the name. I use Firefox FTP, but their is usually an option that say something or very similar to "show hidden files" you would have to click that and you should be able to see the htaccess file.

2.) about the categories issues, I was facing the very similar problem. So what I did was to take out all of the categories and make tags mandatory. I have heard several times that tags are better than categories when it comes to search engines. I'm not sure of how much of that is true but I guess I will see.

Hope this helps you.

by the way try this link(s): http://forums.pligg.com/general-help/17993-adding-category-get-warning-error-message.html , there is another one, i will find it and update the answer.

Figured something out..from the other thread....When another poster said that "it only happens when logged in"..I tested it, and it was the same...I logged out, it everything worked

My Pligg Log In name , was the same as my FTP log in....I changed it, (created a new "God" account) and the error messages went away.
