There are lots of forum questions on this, with NO ANSWERS.

I need to change the admin email address to my own domain email. This will be for the "from" address on the user welcome email, and all other system emails (forgot password, send to a friend, email all users, etc.).

I'm running a fresh install of Pligg 1.0.

Changing the value in the Language section DOES NOT WORK (PLIGG_PassEmail_From). In fact, any value other than "password@pligg.com" will not display at all.

Can someone PLEASE provide a working solution for this? I know I'm not alone here.

Go to your "Admin Panel">> On your Navigation there is "Language" >> type in "Pligg" in the field and a list should come up. Find the ones you are looking for and change them to your website domain.

Please read my original post. Changing the value in the admin > Language DOES NOT WORK.

Any other solution?

Techkr - I tried editing the /languages/lang_english.conf directly, instead of through the admin. Didn't work. The welcome email to new members still does not display the correct From email address.

Plus, now when I go to languages in the admin panel and filter for "PLIGG_PassEmail_From", that entire field is not there. When I go back to the /languages/lang_english.conf and change that value back to "password@pligg.com", then reload the admin languages page, PLIGG_PassEmail_From appears.

WTF?

Searched the database (using PHP myadmin) for "password@pligg.com". Returned no results. Strange, because PLIGG_PassEmail_From is definitely set to password@pligg.com in admin > languages.

Any idea which database table / cell I should look for to try and edit the value directly?

pligg_config > var_name = Send_From_Email

if in mysql also doesn't has password@pligg.com so there's only one in language file but why it's not changed

do you want to try upgrading to latest svn? , maybe help

I'm viewing the pligg_config table in PHP Myadmin. I don't see Send_From_Email listed under var_name. Could this be the cause of the problem? How do I fix?

I'm running Pligg version 1.0.0. Where would I access the latest version of pligg?
