I can not complete install the Pligg, Please see following err information


This will upgrade the database for Pligg versions Beta 9.0.0 and above. It will also upgrade the language files for versions above Pligg 1.0.0. You will still need to upload the new files and update your templates to be fully compatable with the latest version.
We recommend that you back up your website and database to a local computer before proceeding because the upgrade process will make permanent changes to your MySQL database.

Are you doing an installation or upgrade? Your post says install, but you copied the upgrade notes. Make sure that you run /install/install.php not /install/upgrade.php.

Seanli: Try installing again, followed by an upgrade.You should open a new thread to discuss this problem.

Hi,
When I try to use the bookmarklet from my browser it gives a error for invalid refferer. I found a thread here that said that it could be solved by editing the submit.php file which I did.

But now I am getting another error:

URL is invalid or blocked: (http%3A//www.site.comk/some-page.htm)

Can someone plz tell me how to solve this.

Like previous versions of Plone, pligg can't do search in Chinese. Instead of treating each Chinese character like an English word, it makes a whole string of words (a sentence) as a word, and so far I can only search in sentences instead of words.

Hope this problem can be fixed.

I also tried to modify the page information like "my site" into Chinese, but the result is garbled display. I assume UTF-8 should be the default encoding across the whole platform.

I am no coder, but I think the system should be built solidly on utf-8 encoding.

This is a patch for plone's support of Chinese. Can any body look at it and try to match it to pligg? It had the same problem of searching Chinesecharacters.

And there is another patch http://www.zope.org/Members/cbox/ChinesePatch.

Again, I am no coder but I think the patch should be of some help in fixing the problem.

Your server probably doesn't allow fopen or curl. I'll look into coming up with a fix or at least error message for such cases.
