Several questions

I know some of them may sound stupid of all of them but i need to ask.
1.Can i template screw up your database especially the ones that aren't the same pligg version i am using ( i don't believe it could, but just to make sure)
2.Can rss importer damage the database in some way?
3.What other techniques are there to kill my database or damage it except the obvious :^o):
4.When i back up my files and database do i need to install the pligg system again or just put the files i backuped in the same dir and just load the backuped database?

I understand how stupid these questions are but i need to know...

1. No.. Templates don't make changes to your database. But only use compatible templates.
2. No..
3. It's pretty hard to mess up the database. But it's still a good idea to back it up periodically.
4 No need to reinstall just do exactly like you stated.
