in pligg 8 with short url method2, if a user has an _ underscore _ in his name, the profile links "personal info" "sent stories" etc., do not work.

sound like a mod_rewrite problem...but i have no idea, where it breaks.

The porblem still goes on. I tried to solve the problem from htaccess file, but now instead of having 404 error, i get "error 2" which means user can't be found in db, but there is such a user. Is there any solutions to this?

Ok, I have used "([a-zA-Z0-9+-+_]+)" in htaccess, and the problem is gone away.

Thanks for bringing this issue up again. It has been fixed in the SVN code.

Fixed by not allowing underscores in usernames.

What is if you use a bridge with an existing userbase like the vbulletin mod?

Wouldn't this still be a problem for usernames with other special characters such as @ and .?
