I have completed the installation very smooth until the part where says "Step 5:
Adding the Admin user account...

Your Pligg Site appears to have installed successfully!

What to do next:

1.

chmod "/libs/dbconnect.php" back to 644, we will not need to change this file again.
2.

DELETE the "/install" directory from your server if you have successfully installed Pligg.
3.

Login to the admin area (username: xxxxx; password: xxxxxx). Once you log in you should be presented with more information about how to use Pligg.
4.

Configure your site using the admin area.
5.

Visit the Pligg Forums if you have any questions, or just to tell us about your new site.

after that when i click on "admin area" or "configure your site" in both cases I get a blank page! not even a error message, i have checked the files of pligg 1.0 RC5 and it seems like all files were uploaded to my site correctly.
No body answering this? im willing to buy some pro version, but it seems like Pligg has many troubles any alternative?

It could be your server. Some hosts may have reserved the /admin subdirectory for their own purposes so that might be the cause. See what happens if you temporarily rename the folder to /padmin. If something shows up then you will need to contact your web host and ask them if anything can be done.

Just go with a clean re-install...maybe make a new database for your site. I have re-installed pligg a few times and for some unexplained reason, some of the fragments from old templates carried over to the fresh website (if the logo text was red on the old site, the logo text would remain red on the fresh version of wistie).

Delete hidden files, delete databases or try a new folder in your server. Good luck!
