The avatars uploaded to my site prior to upgrading from RC4 to v1.0.0 are missing. Default avatars are present.

I made all the backups from the Admin panel prior to the upgrade. Should the avatar backup be used to replace the previous avatars? If so --could someone point me in the right direction?

Any assistance is greatly appreciated!

BTW --the upgrade install went extremely smooth without any errors. Very impressive!! Cheers, N~

We may have moved the avatars. Check out the folder /avatars/user_uploaded/ to make sure that your old user avatars are in there. /avatars/ is used for the default site avatar (Gravatar_15.gif and Gravatar_30.gif).

Since you upgraded, you will also need to update your language file to match the latest version of Pligg.

Hiya Yankidank --I appreciate the quick reply! I checked /user_uploaded/ and found it empty. IF doing something special to those folders is part of the upgrade instructions -I missed it Luckily this install is on my beta site -so no real loss.

I also checked the backup avatar zip file that I saved locally and found it empty ?? The All files backup zip does have the images. Would it be correctly linked up with the correct user if I imported those images back into the user_uploaded directory?

Mucho Gracias!
N~

It's worth a try to try to import the images into the user_uploaded directory. Avatars were one of the areas we didn't think about too much when handling the upgrades.

Could be a problem with your server not being able to generate the avatar image or the avatar directory CHMOD permissions. I suggest that you run /install/troubleshooter.php to check for any problems.
