After I import a feed, at the bottom of the page I get an error.

Quote:
Warning: fsockopen() [function.fsockopen]: php_network_getaddresses: getaddrinfo failed: Name or service not known in /home/profi18/public_html/d-eo/modules/akismet/libs/Akismet.class_5.php on line 343

Warning: fsockopen() [function.fsockopen]: unable to connect to .rest.akismet.com:80 (php_network_getaddresses: getaddrinfo failed: Name or service not known) in /home/profi18/public_html/d-eo/modules/akismet/libs/Akismet.class_5.php on line 343
]
How do I fix?

No I haven't received any help on the issue and I posted in the pligg projects. This place needs better support or more people who are willing to help others.

Maybe you should provide more details. How about at the very least describing your server environment? Do your feeds import correctly? Is your php environment set up to handle fsockopen()? From the error it looks like it's a problem with the Akismet module and not the RSS Importer module.

It means your host has disabled fsocket()open in your PHP.INI file. Contact your host and ask them to enable it.
