I have just upgraded from RC5 to 1.0.0

A few things I'd like to remark on...

The upgrade itself was pretty easy, it was the aftermath that was annoying.

Had to redo all my custom template edits that were made to wistie.
- This was my own fault -
Note to self - Rename the theme after making new changes so that it is not overwritten on upgrade. DUH!

Had to completely edit the language all over again.
- All of my settings were gone, ie; sitename, email, about site and so on.

Favicon
- Had to upload my favicon again as it was overwritten.

CHMOD
- Big permissions mess after the upgrade.
- I did the upload the zip and then extract on server.
- Took some time to get things to stop giving me error 500.

Vote
- Seems there was a permissions issue with the templates/xmlhttp.php file and it caused clicking on vote to do nothing.

My point? I don't really have one, just thought I'd share my lessons learned in hopes that it will help someone else not to have the same troubles.

Concerning the editing of the language. Now that 1.0.0 is out we will be releasing upgrades for language files. When you run the upgrade script it will append any new language lines to the language file so that you won't have to manually add them in. We will also be appending .default to the language file so that it won't overwrite any existing files on the server.

As for the CHMOD check, the best thing to do is run the troubleshooter to check what files need to be CHMODed. You can do that from /install/troubleshooter.php.

Vote permissions issue? I'm not sure if CHMOD would cause a problem here, but it could have possibly been a bad upload.
