Cannot login after installation

I successfully installed version 1.0. When I entered the login info, I get "error- Incorrect user name or password.
I know I am entering the right info, tried it several times.

Here is ur required info.

* URL to your site: http://www.skoshabizonline.com/link-directory
* Pligg Version: 1.0.0
* Pligg Template: default
* Are you using any Pligg modules not installed by default? no
* Operating System (ex. Windows Vista): XP
* Browser Version (ex. Firefox 3.0.6) 3.0.11
* Server PHP and MySQL versions: 4.1.22-standard: MySQL client version: 4.1.22
* Is Pligg installed on a subdomain? (ex. subdomain.domain.com): no
* Is Pligg installed on a subdirectory? (ex. domain.com/subdirectory) yes
* Are you using URLmethod2 or a .htaccess file? don't know

Open and edit the following lines in htaccess.default

Code:
## If Pligg is installed in a subfolder, change the below line to RewriteBase /name-of-subfolder
RewriteBase /
## If installed in a subfolder you may need to add ## to the beginning of the next line
RewriteCond %{THE_REQUEST} ^[A-Z]{3,9}\ /.*index\.php\ HTTP/
Save it as just .htaccess (make note of the dot) and upload it to your pligg root folder.

Clear the cookie of that domain out of your browser and try logging in again

I update the htaccess file and re named it then uploaded it. Deleted the cookie and still no joy.
