I don't know if the proper word is the site title or the site name, but 'your source of social news and networking' is added to the end of it, but this doesn't fit with what my site actually is, and this is actually what comes up in the heading of search results, and having irrelevant words does actually water down the importance given to the ones that count and makes it harder to get a good place in the serps so it does matter. Can anyone tell me how to get rid of this?

If you're asking about the page title --go to the header.tpl file inside the Wistie Template folder -if that's the template your using.

Other text -like What is Pligg? can be changed by going to Admin > Language page. Filter for the words you want to change -select the field value and update.

If you don't have a tab for Language --you should install the Language Module.

Good luck!

you can't change it in the language section cos it comes up after the page title which you put in there, and I've just searched through header.tpl again, twice, and it's definitely not there that I can see. I don't know how something so simple can be made so complex. Virtually the only modification I wanted to do was to change the page title and I've been trying to do it for months, have posteed several messages on these forums, and am still nowhere nearer being able to do it.
