If you are looking to build more one way backlinks to your Pligg site, then you will love this.

I have been trying to integrate the link code from IBL Builder into my pligg site, and have succeeded.

IBL Builder is a link building directory that uses a credit system, so every time you offer a link from your site you get a credit to spend on requesting someone links to your site. It is a quick way of building genuine inbound links, and because you make the decisions and are not paying for a link, it does not contravene Googles guidelines!

To start linkbuilding follow these steps:

1. Sign up for an IBL Builder account.

2. Create a "zone" in your new account. You will need to supply an inbound URL (page you want others to link to) and an outbound URL (the place you will be showing links to other sites and placing the link code). If you are putting the link code into your sidebar, just enter your root pligg URL, otherwise the URL of the relevant page on your site.

3. Enter the keywords you want others to display when linking to your site.

4. Submit the zone and download the "smarty" zip file they supply.

5. Unzip and FTP to your pligg site.

6. navigate to your root folder (containing all the php files) and upload the "link core" file.

7. Then navigate to your templates folder and paste the "link tag" line of code into your template file in the position you want outbound links to appear. So if you are going to show them in your sidebar, navigate to:

site/templates/wistie/sidebar.tpl

Then paste the line of code into sidebar.tpl. Make sure you change the path in the "link tag" to reflect the location of the uploaded core file. If you place the "link core" in your root, then simply remove the path in the tag so it looks like this:

{php}$_GET['zone'] = 868; include('eb160de1de89d9058fcb0b968dbbbd68.php');{/php}

Save and close.

8. GO back into your IBL Builder account and offer some links to people. If they accept, the links will appear in your sidebar. You can then spend your inbound credits requesting relevant sites link to you. If they agree, then you have relevant links with good anchor text - gold dust!

Note: you can have multiple "zones" on your site, so if you think you might want more than one (more than 100 inbound link deals allowed per zone) then think carefully where to position the code I descried above, as each "zone" must have a unique outbound URL and have a "zone tag" pasted into the page for the zone relating to that pae. Structure is well I reckon 1000 one way backlinks for a plig site are achievable.

My personal feedback is that I just hit 20 decent inbound links in less than two weeks, which is not bad going at all. I had to contact support about an issue and their helpdesk replied within 20 minutes. Can't complain so far!
