there must be a problem with pligg, it has a default url length limitation

(242 characters) to 4 pligg sites and neither worked (page not found)

I tried to submit the tinurl version http://tinyurl.com/ndg7ff and everything was all right! I saw the page!

there must be a limitation to url length but why should be there?

Most of domanis submited are greek and the translation makes those urls huge and now i cannot put them in my pligg sites.

please help!

we have this problem too in persian/farsi permalinks

my hosting service agent told me he thinks it's a limitation in the database and asked me if i want him to look at

but i am afraid to change something without your permission in fear of messing things up.

what should we do?

I can't reproduce this problem with the latest SVN version of Pligg, we may have already fixed this by fixing a related problem. Please either grab the SVN version of Pligg or wait for the 1.0.1 update.

The related problem was a change to the database to allow for larger story descriptions, so I don't know why this would make a difference for the URL database field.
