I've been trying to make user categories sort out like they are in story submission. Now user categories are sorted with autoid value and the list is lookin quite messy.
So any tips how to make categories in user settings sort like they do on story submission? First main category then subcategories for that category and then next main category and subcategories for that category....

Well, to give you an option you can order them all alphabetically by changing user.php line 172 to:

        $categorysql = "SELECT * FROM " . table_categories . " where category__auto_id!='0' ORDER BY category_name ASC";

Changing the display to the way you asked for will be a bit more complicated so I'm not going to try to do that one right now.
