1. What is 'Description: The url to be used in trackbacks.' in the admin section, should I change it to my domain name? - and if so, with or without the www ?

2. Does pligg known how to protect itself from sql injections and javascript code ?

3. What is the best way to backup pligg sites, if something bad happens, in order to restore the site to it's previous state ?

1. When a pingback is sent to another site (usually a blog) it will show your site name instead of the comment author name in most cases. You should change the value to either a shortened version of your domain or your web site title.
2. We have invested an extensive amount of time and money to make sure that Pligg is a secure platform. At this time there are no known vulnerabilities in the code and we have implimented security measures to help protect Pligg sites against commonly known attacks.
3. If you are serious about backing up I suggest that you write a script that can be run by a cronjob on regular intervals. I personally do this for Pligg.com and we make frequent backups both a local and third party server. You should Google to learn more about how to accomplish this, or hire a professional to set it up. If you want to be less protective about your site you could use the built in backup tool for Pligg to download the files and mysql database.
