Adding comment to story causes blank page

Hi, I use pligg 1.2 with oceanic template with url method 2. (php vers: 5.2.13)

If I add comment to story than it returns blank page (iexplore gives HTTP 500 error) and also the story details page is blank.
If I go to admin panel, discard this comment and refresh the browser than everything seems to be ok (until I do not add new comment).
Already tried to discrad all comments and stories and delete all discarded from database using admin panel "Delete Discarded Stories from Database" function, but unfortunatelly it did not solve my problem.
(also tried to switch back to non-seo url method but it did not helped)
It seems this is not a template-specific problem as the same error happens with default wistie template.

Can anybody try to help me in this problem? ...any idea would be great...

Have you installed and uninstalled the TinyMCE module? It's probably the cause of your problem since it also happened in my site and found out that installing and uninstalling that module was the issue.

Hi, thank you for trying to help me. Unfortunatelly I do not have the mentioned module...
Tried to uninstall another modules but it did not solved to problem.

Hi guys, it works now!:applaud:

what I did: opened libs/html1.php with notepad++ and simply pressed the save button. (without modification the content of the file)
After that I uploaded the file back to ftp and after page refresh it started to work: page opens (there is no blank page) and I see my previous comments.

(additional info: before that I never opened html1.php, so there was no previous modification in it)

I cannot find any explanation about what caused the problem and why exactly it works now; I am just happy and wanted to tell what was the solution for my problem.

Hi, did you install module, or did you do any modification in tpl files, or error just happened?

Hi, I have got the same problem and saving html1.php did not help. I'm using pligg 1.2 with genesis.

ok, I have solution:

in file: /libs/comment.php in line 157 add global variable: $db
after line: function fill_smarty($smarty){

old line:

 global $current_user, $the_template, $comment_counter, $link, $ranklist; 
  

new line:

 global $current_user, $the_template, $comment_counter, $link, $ranklist, $db; 
  

user_karma is selecting from database but someone forget about connector
