[confusion]

I was running beta 7 - a recent nightly build from last week, I believe.

Anyhow, I did the upgrade this morning and the language related items don't seem to be working. I ran the two upgade scripts in the README.txt file, and the second one - the language upgrade said that I didn't need to upgrade. Anyhow, none of the labels are working now. I took a look at /libs/lang.conf and there was just a basic php header - no tags or anything. So, I copied over the old lang.conf and that hasn't changed anything.

Any idea what's wrong?

try this

backup your lang.conf

then open it in notepad

and replace all ' with "

Thanks. That worked. For anyone else who's interested, here is a sed command to do this:

# sed ``/\'/s//\"/g'' < lang.conf >x
# mv x lang.conf
