Hi at all, I have a problem with Rss Importer, because it doesn't import feed's images.
I have set up the allowed tag '<img>' in the configuration panel, but if i try to import this Rss (just as a test):
http://feeds.feedburner.com/magento
It doesn't save the image link in the description.
How can I resolve this? Thanks in advice!

Luca

Also having trouble getting images to show up using the rss importer module. Does anyone know of a good thread that describes this problem and solution? I enabled the <img> tag in the Submit area, but still this is not showing up as a field that can be imported from my designed RSS. I tried a variety of RSS feeds and have played with the enabled html tags, for example <image> as well as some other html codes that seem to appear in my RSS fields. No RSS seems to have a simple <img> </img> configuration. It would be helpful to have a test RSS feed with this configuration to test it as well. Any suggestions?

I've had the problem more than a few times. There are some feeds that are just bad. No images, bad copy, etc. Yet some are great. The key is in selection and configuration. When setting up your feeds, use google reader to parse them as a test. You can also sometimes gain more content via making an atom feed using feedburner. Don't ask why. the real magic come from using Yahoo pipes. I've take feeds, and then built a query that reaches out to find images that are of similar use and or content it them permits those to be embedded into the feed for inclusion as a javascript into the tpl. You can see my versions here;

you can also go to pipes.yahoo.com and search for ithinqware227 to find my scripts.
enjoy.!
