Did a fresh Beta8 installation. Everything works w/o problems.

Then all I did is to go to admin panel >> then admin config >> voting preferencess.

Decreased the default number from 5 to 2.
That's fine too.

After that, First weird behaviuor:
When I go to any other admin config options they are ineditable. Looks like everything is not read-only under admin config.

Template is fine at this point. But when I logged out. Template dissappears and everything is now without the template. Just plain black text without any style or format on white background.

What is the problem???

I had a similar problem with demo.pligg.com when navigating to a certain portion of the admin panel. You wouldn't happen to have Pligg installed on a subdomain would you? Either way, give us a link to your site so we can investigate.

First, make this change in your code http://svn.sourceforge.net/viewvc/pl...30&pathrev=131

And then make sure that my_base_url and my_pligg_base is set correctly in config2.php. If your site is mysite.com/pligg

my_base_url = www.mysite.com
my_bligg_base = /pligg

This is very interesting. I made both changes to the config and config2 files.
After that I set the correct chmods.

After that I go to the admin config and change the voting setting. fine...
I can now change some other admin config too which is an enhancement in my problem...... but...... when I logout it gets rid of the template and styles...... back to stone age again..

Now what is interesting is that when I ftp the config2 file back to my local machine I see that config2 is RESET to its original state.... i.e. the change I made for $my_base_url and $my_pligg_base is no more there....

why is this getting reset when I logout from admin(god) user??? this is for beta8 (oct7 release)

hey mito,

Once you make the changes in config2.php
you need to goto the admin panel , and re enter the base_url and pligg_base in location installed before you do anything.

This is because if you change the voting settings, it will create a new config2.php and lose the manual changes you made.
