good day, I have an application in need of 2500 pligg categories stored in the table of categories, and change the field user_categories users on the table for me to accept all 2500. The problem is that this very slow process of loading pages, because they always go through config.php and this in turn has the call to the functions performed by the ordering of categories.

How do I improve performance. since it is necessary to have those 2500 categories.

thanks

We already answered you on another thread that you wrote in Spanish. I've removed that thread since you are now writing in English.

2500 categories? That's absolutely nuts. Why do you need this many categories and is there a reason that you just don't use the tag feature?
As for a max number of categories, there is no hard number. The only problem that I can see is with the user_categories field under pligg_users mysql table maxes out at 1024 characters so you might need to increase that number if users deselect a lot of categories from the user settings page.
