Are other E-Mails generally sent from pligg on your server? For example e-mail-validation e-mails etc. Did you check it for different accounts/e-mails-adresses? You checked the spam folder?

Cheers,
Chris

My answers are always right.... unless they are wrong

Hi Balisto, Yes I did check the spam folder. There are no email sent. I have disabled email activation, only trouble I am facing now is the users who forget there passwords are stuck.

Could I make any changes to the lib/PHPmailer5.php to make this work?

As balisto suggested, you need to check a few things first. You do NOT need to modify the phpmailer class. That same class is used on thousands of other sites without any issues, so the problem is with your setup.

Do this, Enable email validation upon registration, then register a dummy account and see if you get the validation email. If you do not get any emails, then this is something to do with your host setup.

Let us know if you got that email.

Hello Linkcitypro,

I did this, I enabled email validation upon registration, then register a dummy account. I did not get any emails.

Could you suggest something here, i use Cpanel for the web-hosting. Help is really appreciated. Thanks.
