Hi guys,

I'm developing a few pligg sites and I have a few questions:

1. How can I make submitted links have no follow attributes?

2. Where can I find a good pligg template designer, and how much should I prepare for this? I may be looking at someone who can convert my sketch/draft to a template.

3. What are the ways to minimize resource usage of a Pligg site... will having 500 online visitors easily kill my VPS?

4. Is there a way to put a special value on the URL, let's say date or time, or link number just like in Wordpress Blog permalink structure?

Thank you so much and more power!

First... There are only truly a few serious Pligg developers.
There are dozens that will tell you they are... Just note.. they're aren't

Finding a good template designer is not as easy as it seams.
There are plenty of people who can make you a Pligg template but making it 100% compatible with the version of Pligg you are running is another story.

Dividing up the resources should be pretty easy. 500 users is really not all that much. The chances they are online all at once is almost not possible. Especially with a VPS.. I wouldn't even worry about it until you need to

Your 4th question makes absolutely no sense to me. You would need to put more detail into your question.

Yes, it's not easy, that's why I posted this thread And with that, where can I find a good template designer?

You probably mistaken 500 online users with 500 registered users. I'm talking about 500 people connected to the site at any given instance (all at once). I run a few blogs and I can tell you that 500 online visitors is a regular scenario. In WP that consumes roughly 300 - 400MB in memory.

WP has WP Super Cache, WP Widget Cache plugins - plugins that serve static html files instead of dynamic pages, thus decreasing server stress. This can sometimes allow 400 - 600 online users survive on the standard GoDaddy shared hosting. I doubt if the case will be the same with a Pligg site.

Yes that is correct. It's putting a string on the permalink.

wordpress style. you have to edit your .htaccess to ignore all fields between /YEAR/MONTH/this-post for it to work.
