how to give new registered users status "disabled"
i'm using pligg 1.2.0
can anyone tell me what i need to do so that when a new user signsup for my site, his account is not automatically enabled? I would like new users accounts to be disabled by default so that admin has to manually enable each new account.
Thanks!

Hi
By default the new users are automatically enabled so you no need to do nothing.

I want to do exactly the same, can't believe that no one has created a mod for this yet!
Does anybody know any cheap Pligg developers?

I think the easy way to accomplish this is to require email validation, then just remove the validation URL from the email that they receive when signing up so that their account never becomes enabled. That email content can be found in the language file. It's the line labeled: PLIGG_PassEmail_verification_message

Just for any of you that still want to disable new members, I have a mod that does it.

Go to Admin > Configure > Misc > Validate User Email and set to true.
