Good morning!

I am using Twitterfeed to feed my Pligg posts in the 'published' section to go to my Twitter account.

The issue I am having is that once several stories get voted and go to 'published'...even if they are 'spread apart' time-wise, they appear in my feed with the same timestamp, so then when twitter feed checks the feed to post, it will only send the first one with that timestamp.

Is there a way to fix/modify this so every item that goes to 'published' has a different timestamp?

I am using Pligg 1.0.3

Thanks in advance!

Ken

Could you use the guid option in twitterfeed so it posts by next unique title rather than datestamp?

Dunno then, works fine for me using the guid... I doubt it's anything wrong with either pligg or twitterfeed - just when used together sometimes?

Have you tried running the feed through feedburner and using the feedburner feed with twitterfeed? Or the same with yahoo pipes.

Or be more flexible with your feeds. Use the published feeds from your specific category pages or run a search term and grab the feed?

Or have a twitter account for each page feed to spread your base?

ramjet,

Is Twitterfeed working for you right now? It hasn't pulled any feeds for me all day (it did when I first created an account) and there are alot of complaints on their forum in the last few days about this.

How do you use it? Feedburner feed? Or other?

Thanks!

Ken

Hi Ken,

I just use feeds from wherever I can get them. Yahoo pipes are used a lot for keyword-targetting and retweet bots. I've got so many twitterfeed and twitter accounts that I can't effectively track them, but I've just checked a few now and all have posted within the last hour or so, so that's good enough for me really.

Basically, try experimenting till you find something that works for you. Then repeat it. For example, send your feed to ping.fm then to Twitter or Facebook or Plurk or wherever and see if that works better.

Twitterfeed's a good app. If something's wrong it'll be fixed, so don't sweat it too much yet!

Paul.
