I would like to use an external SMTP server that requires Authentication. What file or files should I edit to configure this. I have searched the forums but did not find any solid answers.
Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Good starting point would be one of the 2 phpmailer class files (/libs/class.phpmailer5.php). I just updated those 2 files to use the latest version of the phpmailer script, you can find them here: SourceForge.net Repository - [pligg] Index of /trunk/libs The Twitter Module for Pligg CMS!
