I downloaded and extracted the latest pligg onto my fedora lamp server. I click install, I select English, I carefully follow the instructions, click next, and then I am back to the language selection screen. This will continue to loop. I've tried it in firefox and chrome. I have an old version of pligg (1.0.3) in a different folder - it installed and runs. Any thoughts on what might be causing the issue are greatly appreciated!

Try changing line 13 in /install/install0.php from: Code: $url = 'http://www.pligg.com/languages/check/getLanguageList.php?version=111'; Code: $url = 'http://www.pligg.com/languages/check/getLanguageList.php?version=abc'; The Twitter Module for Pligg CMS! I've also seen this happen if the /languages folder does not have the write permissions.

if your language is english it should tell you to set permission. try to download again the folder installation |

Hi, Im having a problem when doing a clean install of version 1.1.1 i did everything it says on the "readme file" and when i try to install its just loops me back to the "select a language" any idea whats wrong? when i check the troubleshoot tab i get this "Error. The pligg_config table is empty or does not exist" thanks |

Troubleshooter shows that error when you have yet to install Pligg, so that's normal. CHMOD 0777 both the /languages directory PLUS all of the files within that directory. During installation installer_lang.php and installer_lang_default.php both need to be set to 0777 to write the latest installer language files to your server. I've never experienced such a bug as you are reporting, I always see an error message when I try to install without proper CHMOD. The Twitter Module for Pligg CMS! I have never heard of anyone else having this type of problem. Perhaps a file is corrupt, try reuploading everything. If not I dunno what else to suggest.
