Sign-up/activation email not showing $username/$password etc
We have found that the sign-up/activation email is not showing $username/$password and other variable dependent items at all (except for $validation) - this is the original Pligg language file text:
Hello $username,\\r\\n\\r\\nWe\'ve sent you this email because you signed up for a new account on $domain. If you didn\'t mean to do that, you can safely ignore this message.\\r\\n\\r\\nVisit this link to activate your account:\\r\\n $validation \\r\\n\\r\\nYour Password is $password \\r\\n\\r\\nIf clicking the link doesn\'t work, copying the complete link address into your browser.Still having trouble? Contact us at $contactmail\\r\\n\\r\\nAfter activation of your account, you can login at $my_base_url$my_pligg_base\\r\\n\\r\\nEnjoy!\\r\\n \\r\\nThe Administrator
...and this is what is rendered:
Hello ,\r\n\r\nWe\'ve sent you this email because you signed up for a new account on Svět hvězd. If you didn\'t mean to do that, you can safely ignore this message.\r\n\r\nVisit this link to activate your account:\r\n (validation link works correctly) \r\n\r\nYour Password is \r\n\r\nIf clicking the link doesn\'t work, copying the complete link address into your browser.Still having trouble? Contact us at \r\n\r\nAfter activation of your account, you can login at \r\n\r\nEnjoy!\r\n\r\nThe Administrator
Any ideas? I should also point out that it DID previously work.
Pligg version: 1.2.2

I've noticed the password reset email is sent as an HTML email yet the signup/activation email is sent as plain text - could this be a reason for not rendering the variables?

Mods/admins I can email you our lang file for you to check maybe? Let me know how I can go about this. Without the activation email correctly displaying we are unable to launch our site which is a great shame as it looks SO good and works brilliantly otherwise.

I'll check it out tonight or tomorrow and report back on what I find with my own install.

I just tested it out myself on the Pligg demo page and the registration email works fine. As you suspected, the problem is most likely related to your language file. Open it up in Winmerge and copy over the original line, save, upload, and test it out. I think that if you edit the line from the language web editor it may remove some formatting and break it.

Thanks for the message. Actually I tried using the original language file to troubleshoot this and it still didn't show the correct variables in the email. Perhaps you can let me know what the signup/activation email depends on and I will try to re-upload those specific files.
