trouble with installing RSS importer in Pligg 1.2.2

I have a fresh install of Pligg v 1.2.2
I really, really want to be able to import stories via RSS.
Somehow I was able to find a link to download RSS Importer 1.2.2.

I am trying to get it setup up but am running into some problems out of the gate.

I unzipped the folder and put it into /modules.
From the "uninstalled modules" panel, I installed it.
from the "installed modules" panel, I hit the "settings" button, which goes to /module.php?module=rss_import.

Now this is where the problem lies.
At this URL it runs through

Creating TablesCreating table: 'feed_import_fields'....
Creating table: 'feed_link'....
Creating table: 'feeds'....
If there were no errors then we're done! If there are no errors then refresh this page to continue

Then when I refresh, nothing happens, it just keeps showing this, and I can't get past this.

How do I finish installing this module and get it set up correctly. Maybe this isn't compatible with the latest version of Pligg?
Are there are any other RSS modules out there that will do this?

Go to your admin panel and see if there is a new link for RSS importer. Then check out this link for a video tutorial.

Thanks for the video link. It tells you how to use it once the module is successfully installed, but I'm not making it that far.

In the admin panel, I don't see any new links for RSS importer. I'm not sure where to look, but I still don't see any.

Is there a latest link to the module provided somewhere on the forum. I believe it is not in the thread introducing the free module. Rather it can only be found these days in the description to the paid module My RSS.

Also, I did find this thread. For at least one issue, it identifies a duplicate function call, and in the thread they provide a copy of the module with that function renamed. As it turns out I was already using that version. I even went through all the .inc files on my server and double checked that.

I am still having the same troubles described earlier ... Any other ideas?

I suspect since i can't even move onto the panel for configuring the feeds, that I am having a different kind of problem. Also, many people have made mention that this module stopped being supported a few Pligg versions ago. I would just give up, but it sounds like people have been getting it to work.

@hugo4melton, I never got it to work for me. In post #3 I have a link to "this thread". That thread has the latest version that I could find and that I was trying to use.

I have been trying to install the RSS Importer module for Pligg 1.2.2 but it never gets beyond the installation phase. I checked the thread above, downloaded the updated module but could not get it to work. Is there an updated solution? Has anyone got it to work?

Great installation manual, HOWEVER, when i click to RSS_importer icon in the admin menu on pligg 1.2.2 with rss import 1.1.2 i get this:

But there is another error which bothers me more, for a while i've been using pligg 1.2.1 with RSS import 1.1.2.
It has been working great till the moment when i moved my websites to a new server. The RSS import don't work anymore,.
1. import all feeds don't work at all.

2. When i open my previously configured feeds, the fields are gone

3 when i click to 'add a new feed', then edit it, and try to 'add a new field link' nothing happens except the 'add a new field link' disappears

Then I installed pligg 1.2.1 with RSS import 1.1.2 to a fresh new site on the new server, somehow in the beginning it was working great, ADD new links, add fields , import all links even with a cron job, and all of the sudden it just stopped working.
I haven't changed anything , just kept adding new feeds. Same symptoms as i stated before, nothing is working anymore!!

Any idea why this is happening?

having the same issue. I watched the video and read the instruction manual. I am using pligg 1.2.2 with rss import 1.2.2
