Please Help: Smarty error
Greetings Lord of the Pligg !... : )
Congrats on bringing out Pligg Beta 6.01
You have been doing a great job and I have been following your blog.
I did a clean install of Beta 6.01 and got this error when trying
to access the site and via the admin:
Warning: Smarty error: unable to read resource: "../libs/lang.conf" in /home/phantom/public_html/pligg/Smarty.class.php on line 1095
Site:
http://pligg.medmindmap.com/
Admin:
http://pligg.medmindmap.com/login.php?return=/admin/
I have uploaded Smarty_Test.class.php and Smarty_Test.php
after hearing you request others on this forum to do so:
http://pligg.medmindmap.com/Smarty_Test.php
I know you deserve a well earned break
so whenever you have some time on your hands
I would really appreciate it if you could check out
the URLs and let me know where I have gone wrong.
Warm Regards and keep up the super work ... : )

It looks like you have the Pligg 5.? installed and not Pligg 6.01

phantom, I belive you have pligg in a subdirectory.
home/phantom/public_html/pligg/Smarty.class.php
pligg needs to be in either your root directory or in a subdomain.
and i agree with plato2, you seem to have a version of 5.X installed, unless you didnt upload the 6.01 tpl's

Thats part of the problem....

I have the exact same problem as Phantom. I have installed pligg in the root directory provided by my web host (public_html). I get the error message
Warning: Smarty error: unable to read resource: "../libs/lang.conf" in /home/mikroda/public_html/Smarty.class.php on line 1095
mikroda is the name of the account I have at my web host.
the site is located at
http://red.mikrodatorn.se
Does anyone have a clue?
