Sorry for the Question, but why should someone combine pligg with phpbb? Its for me nonsense. My Meaning! I dont want to bother, but i cant imagine why?

Why not? It won't be necessary for all sites but some sites will benefit from it. I am very eager for this to happen. Anyone has any update on this?

It's on my very long list of To Do's (looking into PHPBB).

And why would I want to? Because I want to create a community that isn't as "creepy" as MySpace or Facebook, but still feels like a user-content dominated COMMUNITY . . .

that can be easily niched (since I would control the moderation and categories) . . .

and that would give users a place to discuss general topics that are overarching, and not specifically confined to a particular post.

Hello,

I followed the instructions and was able to easily integrate the Pligg and phpBB2 registrations. Many thanks to all those contributing to that module/solution.

My only issue is that this bypasses the phpBB2 "account activation" settings. For example, I'd like users to have immediate access to the Pligg portion of my site, but have to reply to a confirmation email to activate their phpBB2 account. However, even though I have set the "Enable Account Activation" in phpBB2 to "User", this solution immediately registers and activates the accounts. If I register directly into phpBB2, I do get the confirmation email.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.
