How to add google analytics code

Dear friends I wanted to add the google analytics code to my website medinews.co.uk

I seen the previous advice to find head.tpl file. but on furthur searching in paul01 template I could not find such file could you please help me in this matter please

Hi srrpenna


You would place the analytics code into the file called pligg.tpl which used to be called head.tpl but was changed in the newer versions.

You brought up a very old thread, but I might as well address a problem that some users may have.
When adding the javascript code to your pligg.tpl file you will need to wrap the javascript with {literal} and {/literal} tags. This has been covered on many other threads I'm sure, so for more details just search for {literal}

There is a nice plugin in the shop that took care of that almost automatically.
