I saw in the admin section you could change teh link title to make it point to the actual link instead of the summary...however it doesnt work. Does anyoneknow how to do this?

hmm.. it works for me. Try disabling outgoing urls in admin config > OutGoing.

I guess I never asked you if you actually enabled the setting to do this. I assumed you already enabled it and it wasn't working. Make sure you go into admin config > story > use story title as link and set it to true. Let me know if it still doesn't work.
