    Time Zone

The pligg should support time zone setting. Because our customers are global customer and web server at difference time zone. I thought this is pligg basicly function.

Are you talking about the forums or the pligg software? I can't think of where in the pligg software timezone would be an issue.

Please tell me where in Pligg timezone matters. I cannot think of any place in Pligg that you setting a timezone would make a difference. We do not understand what you are talking about. Thanks.

    i.e.

    I am in china.

My web server in USA, the time of pligg is usa time.

I saw that "top today " lists is incorrect when i see "top today" list in china. Because pligg's time is usa timezone, the pligg shows usa time's list.

Why not use a server in China? It would be a heck of a lot faster for you and your audience would have the correct time. Most people don't purchase servers that far away from them.

From looking at the code I believe that "top today" is really "top in past 24 hrs". So everything is about 24hrs. Yesterday is back 24-48hrs etc. So I do not think that timezone should effect anything. If this does not seem to be right please correct me.

    thanks you reply.

I thought many customer have them server at diff zone.

    to jitgos

if we use "top in past 24 hrs" as "top today", it is a error logic.

    i.e
    we have a story at 2007-02-12 13:45:45
    now time is 2007-02-13 12:15:25.

your logic will show "top today" list including story of "2007-02-12 13:45:45" when i am seeing at 2007-02-13 12:15:25, but fact that it doesn't belong "top today". "top today" just include "2007-02-13" storys. Thanks.

    Blessings and Peace:

So you get a thanks for telling someone to switch servers and told you're illogical when you try to help explain the way the software works... lol

I guess the next time someone has a bug using an older version of php or mysql instead of trying to help them I'll just tell them to get with the times.

    </rant>

It's not an error in logic on my part. I understand top 24 is not the same as top today. That was my point. That feature should be labeled as top in the past 24 hrs, etc. or the feature needs to be modified so that it truly is showing the "top today".
