Make sure you're using the 3-column template.
This will be an "option". You can continue to use the "digg" style if you like. It still has some bugs, but is on the "drawing board".
Comments or suggestions?

I don't like that rating at all. You should keep the current one, you know, just the simple 'counter' like on meneame or digg. Anyway, as it's an option, luckily I'll be able to disable it, lol. And for the layout, it's a good progress. I'd like to have that included. It looks more easy to edit, etc. Last edited by Laurent; 03-02-2006 at 06:43 AM. |

I pligg it! lol...but how would you decide which article will be published on the frontpage? by no. of votes or by the rating it gets? This will be very useful if integrated with a pligg that can import articles from RSS feeds. |

It would work best if only articles with a certain rating (3 or more stars) and a minimum of 5 votes made the front page rather than the stories with the most votes. That would keep the most favored stories on the front page and reduce spam.

Threshold average of 3.0 and up and a selectable quantity of minimum ratings (3, etc.) would be great.

I like the star system as an option. It's simple and a more accurate representation of what viewers think of the article. Because this will most likely be customized, I think it would be a great idea to substitute stars with any other rating representation; somewhat like everyone's take on a "digg". For example, you could have 1 out of 5 'squares' if you wanted. If there could be a way for admins to upload any image they wanted and have it highlight the same way the stars would that would make each pligg site more differentiated, in addition to custom templates. |
