[Fixed] Password inserts wrongly when editing profile

Noticed this while editing my profile in Pligg. The password which is supposed to be inserted into the Old Password field is instead inserted into the New Password field. I'm using Pligg 9.1. Not sure if anyone else is experiencing the same problem? I searched in the forums but I didn't yield anything

ok im having the same problem. if you log into your profile and select modify, at the bottom of the modify screen the script is inserting characters into the "New password:" field. So if you try to edit anything in there it does a password change confirmation if you forgot to delete the characters out of there first.

It seems as if this problem is only occuring in firefox. The problem is replicated when firefox prompts for you to remember the password. If you choose remember, then the password will appear in the "New password" field. You can rectify this problem by clearing "saved passwords" under the clear private data option. Hope that helps.

Actually Firfox pre-fills the fields based on their field names, since the original password field had the name "password" and the new-password field too has the same name - this problem occurs.

The solution should not allow fire-fox prefill passwords by just renaming the new password field's name to something else other than "password" - validation page also would require a change for this to reflect to read values fro proper _POST data.
