Thank everyone (especially Savant) help me upgrade my site to Beta 9. That's wonderful of you guys!

I found out a few issues which I am not sure is specific to my site, or is a bug. I have searched on the forum, but haven't found solutions:

1) whenever a user has login on the site, the About page is gone from the Sidebar. Is this what is supposed to be?

2) In the Sort news by tabs, how does the Pligg define the Today, Yesterday, and This week? It seems to me they don't work properly: eg Sort by This Week only list the stories in this couple days, not from all the past 7 days, and Sort by Today also shows the two story from yesterday
Here is my site: http://www.bizdiggers.com/

3) Category order: I understand the Category is default to be Alphabetical order, but my categories don't follow the order:-(
Furthermore, I tried to use the Admin Panel to reorder them, when I move one category to other places (drag the Name link to the grey box before or after another category), it just went to another place, sometimes it even messed up the other ordered categories.

4) I feel like my site becomes much slower after the upgrade. Do you guys feel the same way? Is there any solution to speed it up?

Please advice!

Thanks again!

That's how it's supposed to act. If they've taken the time to register and log in they probably already know what the site is about. You can edit this in sidebar.tpl to display all the time

The times are set in /libs/search.php. They also seem to work fine for me and I haven't seen any accounts of anyone else having trouble.

I can't really comment on this because it's never happened to me.

It does seem really slow to me too. Try search the forum for gzip and it might speed up your site.

Thank you so much, kbeeveer46!

For the category issue, I am not sure if that is because of I have fields rgt and lft in my Category table (after I ran the Upgrade.php), but these two fields are not in the Beat 9 Category table.

Maybe the values of these fields messed things up. If so, this maybe a bug in upgrade.php file

I will try the gzip thing. More question maybe on the way:-(

Thanks again

I'm experiencing problems with category sorting, as well. I've just started poking around, and will post what I find. I'm using the new yget template for testing, as well.

Well, my category sorting problems just disappeared. I'm not sure exactly what I did to fix it, but I did the following:

1. Manually changed the "category_order" column in phpMyAdmin
2. Noticed that the default ("0") category had a funny value under "category_order", and changed it back to zero.

Hope it helps!
