Hi all,

I have a problem with Anonymous voting funciton. In admin, I already allow Anonymous vote = true but when I try to vote a thread as guess it force me to log in.

I already try all day and figure out what I do wrong but seem no good result.

So if anyone here can help me out plz, greatly appreciate.

I can't help but, why would you want anonymous voting? That doesn't help your site user base.

I prefer to force voters to register.

Geo, with the new site, it is better to let guess vote other why ur site look so inactive.

@kb: it is in local.

I have no clue why ...

I judge activity by posts not votes, more posts by different memebrs the better, but I also see your point about the votes.

Thanks,
Geoserv.

I remember some flag like force_authentication(); would be used to validate the users, if you could comment this line - that should allow un-registered users to vote. But not sure where to do this modification.

Also provide details on which template you use, may be it is configured to work on some templates, I have seen digitalnature template have this feature (our old Pligg demo site allowed anonymous voting)

in 9.1 I just allowed anonymous voting and logged out and tried to vote for a story and it worked fine. Anonymous voting is only support by stories right now, not comments.
