    You last viewed...

    I am still having an issue with the time on my pligg. When I view a submitted story, it just seems to make up how long ago I viewed it.

    Some of them I have never viewed but yet it says I did XX hours ago. If I view one and then a couple of minutes later view it again, it always shows hours not minutes.

    I am using 9.1 with digitalnature.

    Anyone have this problem?

    I'm using 9.1 with digitalnature as well .. This seems to be working fine for me!
    So it doesn't seem like a general bug..

    Geoserv,

    If you have phpmyadmin, check the links table and see if <link_published_date> has a time in it. I've been having the problem for a while and for the entries that show odd times since I last viewed it, the <link_published_date> has some odd year, month, day and 00:00:00 for the time.

    Heres a screenshot of the problem, I just submitted this story to test something, then I went to view it.

    Note how it says it was submitted 1 minute ago, which is correct, now look above, it says I last viewed that page 12 hours ago.

    How is it possible to view a page 12 hours ago that was created 1 minute ago?

    Theres a bug somewhere and this happens all the time.

    Location of story: http://www.newsdots.com/story.php?ti...ordable-prices

    Anyone have insight on this?

    I get the similar problem relating to entries and when I last viewed them. Some says its been 1398 days which is completely impossible since I havent installed that pligg until about 2 months ago. I have to take a minute to see where the time/date is written when a story is published.

    What version of PHP/MySQL are you using? Maybe there is a combination of versions that is the problem.

    Theres this section of code in libs/link.php

    function store_basic() {
    global $db, $current_user;

    if(!$this->date) $this->date=time();
    $link_author = $this->author;
    $link_blog = $this->blog;
    $link_status = $this->status;
    $link_votes = $this->votes;
    $link_karma = $this->karma;
    $link_randkey = $this->randkey;
    $link_category = $this->category;
    $link_date = $this->date;
    $link_published_date = $this->published_date;
    if($this->id===0) {
    $db->query("INSERT INTO " . table_links . " (link_author, link_blog, link_status, link_randkey, link_category, link_date, link_published_date, link_votes, link_karma) VALUES ($link_author, $link_blog, '$link_status', $link_randkey, $link_category, FROM_UNIXTIME($link_date), FROM_UNIXTIME($link_published_date), $link_votes, $link_karma)");
    $this->id = $db->insert_id;
    } else {
    // update
    $db->query("UPDATE " . table_links . " set link_author=$link_author, link_blog=$link_blog, link_status='$link_status', link_randkey=$link_randkey, link_category=$link_category, link_modified=NULL, link_date=FROM_UNIXTIME($link_date), link_published_date=FROM_UNIXTIME($link_published_ date), link_votes=$link_votes, link_karma=$link_karma WHERE link_id=$this->id");
    }
    }
    Not sure if the problem could be here.
